Visiting Suzanne and Richard, my AirBnB hosts, in 2022 was a memorable experience for me. It was Halloween (2022) and the local Bandra Gymkhana was hosting a party for the families who were members. Halloween gets discussed every year as not being local to the Indian cultural ethos. Culture messiahs never rest but nothing beats the joy of the little children dressing up for the occassion. The local community descended that evening with family and friends all geared up in their ghoulish garb and disguise.
I had foolishly forgotten to bring a speedlight to what was going to be an indoor event at night. After a rushed trip across Bombay's infamous traffic snarls I managed to procure something temporary to cover the event. I'm glad I did.
